links, etc Reflections on Ten Years Past The Snowden Revelations whoa. it’s been 10 years already? this is definitely worth a read. it’s kind of shocking to me how little has changed since. we have a lot more bits encrypted these days, but the consolidation of the destinations for the bits of encrypted traffic likely hasn’t really helped the situation.

Why more and more Americans are painting their lawns the whole notion of a grass lawn drenched in chemicals is so stupid to me. this doesn’t seem any better. the tl;dr - some company wanted to sell a lot of chemicals to us. they sold us the notion of manicured uniform lawns....
